WABS Build Cool Stuff (BCS)

SEAW Outreach is partnering with Washington Alliance for Better Schools (WABS) to promote STEM learning outside of the classroom through their After School STEM Academy. The academy promotes STEM learning through hands-on activities, organized in a pre-planned curriculum. Visit WABS' website for more information about the organization and the academy.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

BCS is an after school program (6th-8th grades) that gives students a chance to solve problems that affect their everyday lives. Alongside educators and volunteers, students work together to design, build, and test prototypes that can lead to real solutions.

The program runs for 8 sessions with a 60-minute “club” model (frequency: once a week or every other week). The total time commitment is about 12-15 hours.
